The construction of this entire town reminds me of London in some ways.
Uh-- that's the city I was born in. It's an old city, with a lot of historic sites. ... My point being that the architecture reminds me somewhat of London.
[ The little ones were chasing each other around the table, but as no spells were being tossed around, Regis thought it safe to assume that they were doing fine. ]
Do you miss it a lot? I do not know your world, but, sometimes, talking about it may alleviate the ache, if such occurs.
[He didn't flinch away-- a good sign. Physical contact wasn't something he was particularly used to, but a certain influence in his recent life had a tempering effect on his reactions.]
I'm starting to see that, [Waver said at length.] As much as I'd like to go back home and see what I can do there, I also want to see what I can do here for... whatever time I'm given.
[ Placed in a small box in front of Regis' house hold's doorstep is a box addressed to Regis. Inside the box was a note and enough money to have a nice evening out for dinner. The note reads: "You win. Enjoy."
[ Guess what, Regis? Once again, a mysterious package was placed on the front step of his home. The gift says it's addressed to Regis, but no name as to who sent it to him. If he chooses to open the gift and not destroy it because Squall normal people say who gifts are from, he will find a rather warm handmade sweater. The sweater is black with gold colored thread and the back of the sweater has the design of a bunch of different kind of swords fanned around to make a sword circle. He may even notice that two swords look familiar. One being the one Regis used with Squall, and another being Auron's katana sword. There was a note attached to the sweater.]
Maybe not as of late, but you probably get cold every once in a while. Enjoy.
[ There will be a gentle nudge that can possibly be felt over the connection from the amulets that somehow feels almost a little apprehensive before, finally, a voice speaks. ]
I offer my apologies if this may be an inopportune moment... but there is something I wish to ask you.
[ Seeing crystal-like people still has the Warrior feel a certain way (try worried or upset) but he simply pulls a breath in before he nods to himself; he has seen this before here, Noctis is not a manikin. ]
I see. Then his lack of communication makes sense.
[ From Regis, on the other hand, there is mostly calm and affection. He was a crystal until a month or so ago, himself. He knows there is little to worry... probably. ]
You are very welcome, and I am glad the tidings can be good. Thank you for asking.
Are you... Noctis is someone important to you, is he not?
Friends are wonderful, and there are never too many of those.
And thank you once more. I am sure my son will appreciate it when he awakens. I will tell him to get in touch with you as soon as he awakens.
[ A pause, but because Regis's sense of humor is atrocious, he adds, even though he's sure the answer would be negative, ] of course, you are welcome to visit him at any time, if you are among those who think leaving decorations is the way to express your companionship.
[ Regis promised that Noctis won't end up decorated, and he will keep that promise. But. He can always remove and store any such things, anyway. ]
[ There's a pause as he tries to piece together what it is that Regis means by leaving decorations before he comes to look down to the very thing he picked up for Noctis. ]
It's a scarf. Though not suited to keep one warm... it's more for fashion.
[ And has a pattern of fish on it which is what made the Warrior think of Noctis in the first place. ]
I know that he'd like to thank you himself. And perhaps show off to you how it looks on him. I think in person will be better.
[ Regis is not bringing up the birthday because the timing of the crystallization is a little too close. But he can hope that it'll end before the day comes. Shriveled and faint as his hope is, he can hope. ]
[ It wasn't a big gift at all, but left at Auron's place was a little box for Regis. It was wrapped in black paper with golden ribbons If he opens the box he'll find a simple gift. "To: Regis. From: Squall.
[ If Regis thinks he's getting away with people not knowing his birthday or something he's sorely mistaken. Delivered to his residence that morning are two gift wrapped presents, wrapped in paper with a precision that is almost alarming.
The first present is a new pair of boots, ones that are going to not only look good but be comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
The second is a small painting, roughly the size of a sheet of A4. It's an oil painting of this landscape that Cor has done. Sort of. Unfortunately Cor's artistic skills leave little to be desired, but an attempt was made.
